"The Christmas tree is the focal point for your holiday decor, so it's only natural that it should make a statement," says Mariah Leeson (@GigglesGalore), founder of design and DIY blog GigglesGalore.net. "On this tree, I paired trendy, rustic buffalo plaid with classic touches like greenery, poinsettias, and other plaids-it reminds me of a frosty evening and cozy flannel blankets." The snow-flocked tree allows the ornaments and accents to take center stage. "Ribbon is my favorite element on a tree," says Leeson. "It adds softness, color, and that 'wow' factor you see on designer trees!" She suggests starting at the top of the tree and showcasing ribbons in two different widths and colors for a bigger impact.
