How to keep trusty garden implements in good condition

with another busy gardening year almost done and W dusted, it's time to check over your tools and give them a little TLC. Keeping implements clean, sharp and well oiled means they will last longer and be a pleasure to use, saving you time cash and effort.

Smooth operator 

* Apply oil to moving parts, blades and joints of secateurs, loppers and shears. This prevents corrosion and keeps them working effortlessly. Wipe off residue with an old rag.
