"You seem to have forgotten one little detail; this is my house!" I said my voice guttural. I was hoping against hope that she would not notice the bulge in my trousers.

"Yes, I am aware of that! But my shower wasn't working! I am Maya's best friend, and your neighbour! What is wrong with me having a shower in your house?" she said, the towel barely hanging on.

"What was wrong with my guest bathroom? The shower there not working either?" I said, retrieving a bit of my dignity.

"It's too small. I needed more space." Brandy shuffled her feet, looking me in the eyes, rather boldly, I thought; for someone who had just been caught without her clothes on.

"Too small? What did you want to do in there, Brandy; bathe an elephant?"

"Ronit. I am standing here in your bedroom wrapped in a towel. Are you sure you want to discuss my reasons for showering in your bathroom?" she said, pursing her lips.

"I will get my notes and go. Next time, please use the guest bathroom. Better yet, get your shower fixed." After a moment of hesitation, I turned.
