This is such a British debate, and you wouldn't find women in Europe, where sunbathing topless is the norm, having the same conversation.

I have always sunbathed topless, both abroad and in the UK, and don't see a problem with it. If men can sit topless on a beach or lie topless around a swimming pool, then why can't women? Why must women's bodies - and breasts - always be sexualised?
