IS MASTERCHEF FINALLY TOAST?

If there's one thing you need to know about men having power, it’s this: the more power they have, the more certain they feel they have a God-given right to show you their penis – even if said penis is the size of a button mushroom in subzero temperatures. This is especially true if you're a younger female starting off in your career.

Recently, we've learnt that Gregg Wallace, the middle-aged male presenter of much-loved BBC TV show MasterChef, is toast, thanks to his appalling workplace behaviour towards women that, naturally, ended with him flashing his coq au vin. Separately, his colleague John Torode has identified himself as having an upheld allegation against him of using a racist term six or seven years ago.

Torode has denied the allegation, and said he has ‘no recollection’ of what he is accused of. Still, MasterChef production company Banijay and the BBC ‘are agreed’ that his contract won’t be renewed.
