BAKE OFF HOST MATT'S EXTRAORDINARY WEIGHT LOSS

The first glimpse of Matt Lucas in a trailer for the new series of Bake Off told us he was half the man he used to be.

The comedian's dramatic weight loss was motivated, he's since explained, by the realisation that he is nearly the same age as his own father when he died prematurely. And that tragic event became even more genetically worrying when he realised his dad's dad had also died in his 50s.
