The one-time voice of an angel’ talks about her new life connecting back to nature, and helping others do the same

● I bought Laura Ashley's former home, Rhydoldog House, set in 49 acres of the Elan Valley for £1.5 million a year ago and it's being turned into a wellness centre and healing retreat. It has been my dream to do this and so I called it The Dreaming.

● My initial estimate of the cost of renovation quickly doubled and it has been stressful. But the way I see it is that most things in life, if they are important, are supposed to be hard, or we wouldn't care so much. And we wouldn't learn so much.

There are themed rooms like 'Moon' with a lunar shaped bath and sink, and 'Mushroom' with fungi memorabilia. Outdoors there is a physic garden with flower beds representing air, earth, fire and water. Guests can storytelling, meditation, star gazing and sound healing ceremonies.
