Aerin and Rahul Vohra's soulful wedding in Udaipur was a coming together of Indian and Korean rituals

Los Angeles-based couple Aerin and Rahul Vohra like to think that the universe conspired to bring them together. "Our love story is a cosmic glitch, a beautiful expression of Leela or divine play," says the Korean-American bride.

In 2023, Aerin agreed to meet an out-of-towner friend for "one quick drink" at a party in Malibu. That soiree happened to be Rahul's 40th birthday. The pair instantly connected and ended up talking to each other late into the night. Soon after, the two become inseparable. Their relationship was a blur of shared holidays and playlists—scuba diving in the Philippines, visiting each other's families in Birmingham and Seoul, and music pilgrimages in Poland and Venice Beach. "Every trip felt like proof that the universe had glitched in our favour—same humour, same sense of adventure, same disbelief that love could feel this easy," says British-Indian Rahul, founder-CEO of an Al-native email app called Superhuman.
