Revealed in 2023, this $3,499 device went on sale in February 2024, and while it hasn’t yet become a mass-market product, it represents a significant leap forward in the world of spatial computing. The Vision Pro boasts various high-tech features, making it one of the most sophisticated consumer devices Apple has ever created.
Its most notable features include over a dozen sensors and cameras powered by the R1 and M2 chipsets, which work together to map the user’s physical environment in real-time. This allows the headset to seamlessly blend digital content with the real world, creating an immersive experience. The Vision Pro’s dual 4K displays enhance this immersion by delivering stunning visuals for supported content, and the inclusion of spatial audio means that sound moves dynamically with the user’s environment.
