Adidas Adizero SL Running shoes

Light performance running shoes for your tempo runs

We reviewed the all white Adizero SL running shoe and loved its simple and clean design. The first thing that struck us was how light the shoes were, compared to similar entry level performance running shoes, which tend to be a little heavier and not so flexible.

The upper of the shoe is a soft but strong fabric mesh design, which makes the shoes quite breathable - this is important given the tropical weather in many parts of India. The upper of the shoe provides a snug fit and blister free comfort. One point to note is that these shoes are not suitable for people with broad feet. The tongue of the shoe is long and stays up firmly, but Adidas has provided thin shoe laces which feel a little flimsy plus they are a little short, if you want to tie alternate knots.

The shoes come with one composite Litestrike pro cushioning, which runs through the entire shoe without a break. It provides great forefront cushioning, which makes it great for fast 5km and 10km runs or tempo runs in your weekly training calendar. It’s not suited for slow runners or those with pronounced heel strike. The insole of the shoes is well designed and comfortable. You could also substitute it with a custom insole if you were looking for greater heel cushioning.
