It's pricey, but this EdgeLink- enabled desktop scanner is incredibly fast and delivers good-quality scans

Businesses with a need for speed will love Epson's WorkForce DS-900WN as this desktop scanner claims top speeds of 70ppm. It can do this for greyscale and colour scans at 300dpi, while the 11,000-page daily duty cycle and 100-page automatic document feeder are geared up for a high demand.
The price is steep but the DS-900WN offers a lot for your money. As one of Epson's ScanWay models, it can function as a standalone network device for walk-up scanning, and membership of the EdgeLink club brings in support for Epson's Open Platform.
This allows third-party independent software vendors to embed their document and data management software in the scanner's web GUI and customise the icons on its large 10.9cm colour touchscreen. A good example is DocuSoft, which can enforce user authentication at the scanner and automatically catalogue, index and place scans in predefined storage repositories.
