The Debian Project has officially announced the release of Debian 13.0 'Trixie', the latest stable version of the popular GNU/Linux distribution.

Released on its traditional two-year cycle, Debian 13 delivers a wide range of updates, new features, and expanded hardware support.
At its core, Debian 13 ships with the Linux 6.12 LTS kernel, ensuring long-term stability and hardware compatibility. The distribution defaults to the GNOME 48 desktop environment and makes use of the GCC 14.2 compiler, alongside significant package upgrades including OpenJDK 21, Python 3.13, and numerous other updated tools and libraries.
