8 EPIC MOTORCYCLE JOURNEYS ACROSS INDIA

Two wheels, endless adventures across the country
Few countries in the world boast of such geographical diversity as India. And if you’re a motorhead who confines their bikes only to nearby destinations, you really are doing yourself a big disservice. Scattered across India are some supremely blissful biking routes that you can plan your next vacation - or even your next long weekend - around. Let’s take a look at them.
MUMBAI TO GOA
Distance 590 km
This is among the most popular routes for Mumbai-based bikers. One can leave at 6 am and be sipping on a cocktail by the beach at 5 pm. The route is pretty straightforward and hardly has any bad patches. The Mumbai-Bangalore highway might not have much green cover, but its uninterrupted nature makes it a delight to ride on. And once you enter the Konkan region, there’s lush greenery everywhere, making for a nice change of scenery. Upon reaching Goa, you can also ride from North Goa to South Goa, which is a short yet beautiful route to ride on.
MANALI TO LEH
Distance 480 km
Now, this is one route that needs no introduction. When bikers first started taking it, it wasn’t exactly a heavenly ride. But the rough roads have now been replaced with sprawling tarmac that lets you soak in the natural beauty of the Himalayas with utmost comfort. If you’re short on time, you can take the conventional route, which takes you through Keylong and Sarchu. But there’s a slightly longer alternative that veers off from Jispa and takes you to the relatively less visited Tso Moriri Lake. However, note that this route has fewer amenities than the conventional one.
SILIGURI TO LACHEN/ LACHUNG
Distance 185 km
