Lindsey Systems is driving innovation in Emergency Restoration Systems (ERS) with advanced, lightweight transmission structures for rapid deployment.

The latest advancements by the company include the 800-Series ERS developed at the request of RTE, the transmission system operator for France. It required a new system that could carry heavy conductor loads and allow for construction by helicopter. This system has also been deployed in Australia. Another advancement is the SMARTLINE Transmission Line Rating System. SMARTLINE can provide any transmission operator with real-time and forecast ambient, seasonal, transient and Dynamic Line Ratings (DLR). The system enhances real-time conductor monitoring, optimising grid performance and stability. These developments improve operational efficiency, reduce downtime and maximise asset utilisation.
