Please tell us about your business operations in India.

Over the past year, Veolia has undergone a major transformation, bringing together its water technologies expertise into a single, unified organisation. This integration allows us to deliver an even broader portfolio of advanced technologies and process solutions to customers across India — supporting industries and municipalities with reliable, sustainable water and wastewater management.

We are also expanding into new industrial sectors, such as microelectronics, where we previously had limited presence. We are now building the necessary ecosystem and supplier base, developing specialised teams, and focusing on providing solutions for this emerging sector. Given India's growing electronics and technology industries, microelectronics represents a major opportunity for us.

How does this aid your business strategy?

By integrating our expertise and technologies under the Veolia brand, we've significantly expanded our capabilities to address a wider range of customer challenges more cost effectively. This is where our value proposition truly lies: delivering efficient and affordable solutions for complex water problems.

The Indian market is highly cost-conscious, particularly when it comes to water recycling. Imported technologies often raise concerns about cost. How do you address this?

The key factor is the value created for the customer. Mumbai's Worli region is one of the most expensive locations in the world; our technology has enabled significant savings for clients despite high land costs. Similarly, in regions with stringent discharge norms, our MBR solutions help reduce treatment costs compared to traditional systems.
