EXCITED: Sam Austin
SAM Austin says it was the Southend United supporters which convinced him to make the move to Roots Hall.
The 28-year-old has joined the Shrimpers after ending a three-year spell with Notts County.
In that time, midfield ace Austin helped the Magpies back into the EFL via the National League play-offs before then playing a part in two strong promotion challenges in League Two.
