A unique Golf Team Championship for golfers aged 70 years and above was held at the Peacock Course of the Delhi Golf Club from 24th March to 2nd April.

Conceptualized by the Delhi Golf Club management, the event aimed to promote golf among seniors and received an overwhelming response, with 200 players signing up, far exceeding the originally planned 80-player field. Another key goal of the event was to strengthen camaraderie and the competitive spirit among senior members, which was achieved with ease, as participants aged between 70 and 97 displayed tremendous passion. Remarkably, the oldest participant, Col HN Singh, was 97 years old, proving that age was no barrier to enthusiasm.
The 200 players were divided into 10 teams, each led by a nominated captain from the club. Each captain selected six players of their choice, which mandatorily included one lady and one golfer over 80 years of age.
