Argos Racing Cycles has been operating in Bristol since 1974, when cycling enthusiast Arthur Needham decided to expand the horizons of Tectron Engineering, of which he was the managing director, to include custom bike frames. Its 'low-pro' framesets became something of a signature, while Stuart Dangerfield won the 1992 national hill-climb title on an Argos custom-made for the event.
