Chennai Super Kings, like always, have a different strategy when it comes to the Indian Premier League auction. The IPL mega auction ahead of the 2025 season was no different for them. CSK are a side that knows what it wants, and that’s why they have been five-time champions. After a poor IPL 2024 season, CSK will want to bounce back and showcase their strengths with the squad they have assembled. CSK is a side that runs deep in terms of personnel, with several Indian players in the mix. The bowling, in particular, was an area they addressed after having let go of several players. Ahead of the auction, CSK retained 5 players MS Dhoni, Shivam Dube, Rituraj Gaikwad, Ravindra Jadeja, and Matheesha Pathirana.

At the auction over two days, CSK got experienced names with a hint of young players to back the same. Notably, CSK will keep drawing fans with the presence of MS Dhoni and the return of former spinner Ravichandran Ashwin.
