A decade spent tackling waste still feels vanishingly small
Not too long ago, a member of my team at Waste Warriors Society came to me red-faced, sweating and said that his chest was hurting and he could not breathe. He had been reading up on carbon emissions and their impacts, and the negligible role that solid waste management would play in alleviating the entire existential crisis. This led to him questioning the meaning and impact of our work in waste management and the spiral of thoughts caused a panic attack.
