The India-Russia joint venture behind the BrahMos cruise missile has reaffirmed its commitment to continuous modernisation of the system, with a long-term objective of transitioning toward hypersonic technologies.

Alexander Leonov, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Designer of NPO Mashinostroyeniya, the Russian partner in the programme, stated that upgrades to the missile are ongoing and aimed at improving performance and adapting to future strategic requirements.
