In the evolving landscape of battlefield communications for Land Forces, Astra Rafael Comsys Pvt Ltd (ARC) — a joint venture between Astra Microwave Products Ltd, India, and Rafael Advanced Defence Systems, Israel— stands at the forefront of innovation. ARC has established itself as India’s first private sector facility manufacturing in-service military-grade Software Defined Radios (SDRs), delivering advanced tactical communication solutions to the Indian Army and Special Forces.

Among ARC's flagship offerings is the BNET family of SDRs, which includes Personal Network Radio (PNR), Handheld, Manpack, and the Vehicular/ AFV variants, which have been successfully trial evaluated in different operational exploitation scenarios and in all leading “A” vehicle platforms of Mechanized Forces.

These SDR systems are designed to support Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (MANETs), enabling robust voice and data exchange in dynamic combat environments.
