AGREEMENT WITH SOKOR ENHANCES AFP MODERNIZATION PROGRAM

THE Department of National Defense (DND) on Wednesday said one of the agreements it signed with the Republic of Korea (ROK) last Tuesday will enhance the ongoing modernization program of the military.
DND spokesman Arsenio Andolong was referring to the Amendment Number 2 to the Implementing Arrangement, which the DND signed with the ROK’s Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA).
The agreement was signed by DND undersecretary for acquisition and resource management Salvador Mison Jr., and ROK Minister of DAPA Lee Yong Cheol.
Andolong said the agreement concerns “procurement of defense materials” but did not elaborate.
