New chapter for libraries in new homes

Leeds Council has officially approved plans to move to two libraries.

Ardsley and Tingley Library will relocate from Bradford Road to Tingley Youth and Community Centre in Smithy Lane, while Calverley Library will move to the Mechanics Institute, Thornhill Street. It follows a four-week public consultation on both sites, generating more than 200 responses, with 64 per cent and 70 per cent respectively expressing their understanding of the need to relocate.
