Fewer adults get right amount of weekly exercise

Fewer adults in Leeds met the recommended amount of exercise last year - despite a record number of adults across England exercising regularly.
The NHS recommends adults do at least 150 minutes of moderate activity each week – brisk walking, cycling or swimming - or 75 minutes of vigorous activity (running or interval training). Sport England’s latest Active Lives Adult Survey received 1,418 responses from adults in Leeds and found 64 per cent met the 150 minutes-a-week target in the year to November 2024.
It was down from 66.4 per cent the year before.
