For anyone who remembers, I was diagnosed with endometriosis and adenomyosis 16 months ago - after it was misdiagnosed for 21 years.

Over 21 years, there were more than 15 ambulance call-outs and almost as many times when hospital emergency departments were at a total loss with me.

Twenty-one years of medical professionals not knowing WHAT to do.

The mantra was always 'procedure is simple' - plough me with gas and air, IV morphine - until the pain passed and send me home.

There have been countless times, screaming and crying in pain, until I passed out.
