Parkway and Tiverton seek a response to opening day defeats
Western Morning News

PLYMOUTH Parkway will be looking to bounce back tonight against freshly relegated Weymouth following their opening day defeat to Walton & Hersham in the Southern League Premier Division.
The Yellows found themselves leading the Swans twice thanks to a debut brace from Rocky Neal and a stunning volley from Mikey Williams, but ultimately were defeated 6-3 after defensive frailties were exposed.
Tonight's opponents should present another tough test to Parkway. The Terras have dropped back into the Southern League after a 23rd place finish in the National League South last season, five years after they were promoted to the National League via the playoffs.
Weymouth were unceremoniously welcomed back to the league with a 3-1 home defeat at the hands of freshly-promoted Evesham United, but Parkway boss Chris McPhee feels they will be a team with something to prove this season.
“There'll be a team that will be desperate to bounce straight back up’, said McPhee. “They'll look at this league as potentially winnable. I would imagine that they're one of five or six teams that are looking into to try and win this league.
