Excellent season for garden butterflies
Western Morning News
|July 24, 2025
A MONTH or so ago I bemoaned the fact that I had hardly seen a butterfly in our garden.
The flowers were in bloom, waiting and ready, but there was a distinct absence of visitors. Not even spring regulars such as brimstone and holly blue.
And then temperatures soared, the rain held off, summer stirred the pollinators and out they came in abundance.
I have never had a season like it.
