A TWO-DAY event later this week will commemorate the brave Polish airmen of 307 Squadron - a night-fighter unit credited with saving Exeter during the Second World War.

Taking place at the city's historic Guildhall, “Night Fighters of Exeter - ‘The Story of 307 Squadron” will mark the legacy of the Lwow Eagle Owls, who defended the South West between 1941 and 1943 as part of the Royal Air Force.
