Cornish Pirates are champing at the bit for ‘Champ’ opener

TODAY marks the start of a new league season for the Cornish Pirates, as well as a new era for the second tier of English club rugby, with the Championship rebranded as ‘Champ Rugby”
First up for the Cornish Pirates is a home encounter against Hartpury (KO 2.30pm), who will inevitably provide strong opposition.
Newly-named Pirates’ captain Alex Everett will lead a team that welcomes back fly-half Arwel Robson and hooker Morgan Nelson to their ranks, while lock Milo Hallam, who last season made six appearances for club, will be making his first start.
