Work set to begin on pioneering sports centre

CONSTRUCTION on “a pioneering new centre” dedicated to advancing health, sport and technology innovation is due to begin, Swansea University has said.

Work to replace the existing pavilion at Sketty Lane in Swansea will begin this month with full construction beginning shortly after.
The 2,000 sq m four-storey flagship National Institute for Sport and Health (NISH) facility at the entrance to Swansea Bay Sports Park aims to “improve population health, elevate elite and community sport, and drive economic growth across the region and beyond”
