Having already come back from 14 points down late in the game against Ulster this season in the Challenge Cup, Cardiff threatened to do it once again with Steff Emanuel’s score setting up a nervy finish for the hosts.

However, Cardiff couldn’t find another score, meaning Ulster moved ahead of the Arms Park side in the United Rugby Championship table.

The Irish province now sit fourth, with Cardiff just behind them in the table.
