FORMER England and Australia coach Eddie Jones believes rugby needs rebel league R360 given the state of club rugby.

Jones, who is currently in charge of Japan, has become the latest to back the breakaway competition, which is being spearheaded by former England centre Mike Tindall.

However, despite that blow, Jones thinks R360 is a good thing for rugby.

"I think we need it, mate," Jones (pictured) told The Times.

"You think about what World Series Cricket did for cricket.
