Plans for major employment site to boost growth

PLANS for a major employment site in Merthyr Tydfil have been revealed.
In a joint venture between the Welsh Government and Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council, funding has been allocated for infrastructure that will bring 19 acres of land at Goat Mill Road to investor-ready status.
The site has remained undeveloped since remediation works in the mid to late 1990s.
While it will be down to market interest, the plots could see private sector investment to create hundreds of thousands of square feet in new industrial and office space.
The scheme will benefit from Welsh Government funding of more than £4.5m, alongside a £5.1m investment from Cardiff Capital Region (CCR) to Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council.
