Jail term for ex-soldier who stalked policeman

A FORMER soldier tracked down a home address for a policeman who had previously arrested him, a court has heard.

Gareth Nicholas had sent a message to the officer on Facebook accusing him of corruption and of “abducting” him, before delivering a handwritten letter to what turned out to be the policeman’s former family home.
It is not known how the defendant learned of the address. Bryon Broadstock, prosecuting, told Swansea Crown Court the complainant in the case was one of a number of South Wales Police officers who had executed an arrest warrant for the defendant in May 2023 on behalf of Scottish police.
