Flood alert as heavy rain and gales set to hit Wales

THE Met Office has issued multiple weather warnings as Storm Ingrid is set to batter Wales, bringing strong gales and heavy rain.

Storm Ingrid is expected to cause disruption and possible flooding as it rolls in today. Parts of south Wales were already covered by an eight-hour yellow rain alert yesterday. However, things are set to get worse today and tomorrow with the nation battered by persistent rain and strong winds.
The Met Office has issued a yellow rain and wind warning covering much of south and southwest Wales from 2am today until 9am tomorrow due to the threat posed by Storm Ingrid.
