Dad discovered son 'bloodied and lifeless' in school car park

A 17-YEAR-OLD girl left her friend with a permanent brain injury after he suffered a fractured skull when he fell off the bonnet of a car she was driving.
The victim's father later described arriving at the scene and seeing his son “covered in blood” and “lifeless” in the arms of a police officer.
Chanelle Guest, now 18, was with friends in the car park of Brecon High School on May 17 where there were a number of vehicles parked next to each other.
CCTV cameras picked up someone driving a Renault Clio, with a passenger hanging out of the window, neither of whom were the defendant.
A sentencing hearing at Merthyr Tydfil Crown Court heard the victim, then 17, was seen to sit on the bonnet of the Clio and Guest was in the driver's seat.
She began to drive the car with the victim still on the bonnet but as the defendant attempted a right-hand turn, the victim slipped off and hit his head on the road. The Clio came to a stop as Guest and her friends rushed over to the victim, who appeared unable to sit up.
The emergency services were called and the police were first at the scene. They found the victim covered in blood which had pooled from his left ear and he was falling in and out of consciousness.
The defendant identified herself as the driver, but the Clio was not her car and she was not insured to drive it.
The victim was found to have suffered a severe head injury and a complex fracture to the left side of his skull.
He also suffered multiple bruises to the brain and multiple areas of bleeding on the left side of the brain.
