Holly Morgan tries Cardiff's new posh pizza place Bosco and says the real surprise was the bill
The tiramisu
BOSCO Pizzeria has recently opened its doors on Cardiff High Street, and it's already proving to be a standout addition to the city's vibrant dining scene.
Situated in a prime location, right among some of the capital's most upscale and stylish restaurants, Bosco manages to hold its own, offering a luxurious dining experience without the high-end price tag.
Walking in, the space immediately makes an impression. There's a modern elegance to the decor, with warm lighting and thoughtful touches which make it feel welcoming yet special. Even though it is technically a restaurant chain, you feel like you are at an independent.
It's polished but not intimidating - the kind of place where you can confidently show up in jeans after a day of shopping, or dress up for a date and still feel at home. Bosco Cardiff nails that delicate balance between chic and cosy, which is no small feat.
The first in Wales and only the fifth Bosco overall, the small family of restaurants has venues already in Bath, Bristol and Cheltenham.
From the moment we stepped inside, it was clear it takes inspiration from its other locations while bringing something a bit more special to Cardiff.
After being greeted by lovely staff and being handed the menus, the first thing I noticed were the prices - their cheapest pizza, the Bosco margherita, costs £11.50.
