Savage laments errors as Rovers lose a thriller

ROBBIE Savage said individual errors cost his Forest Green side as they exited the FA Cup with a 4-3 defeat at Luton Town on Friday evening.

Rovers scored three goals in 18 minutes through Tom Knowles, Kyle McAllister and Aidan Dausch to come back from three goals down before West Ham loanee Gideon Kodua’s last-gasp winner saw the Hatters progress.

“That was one of the proudest moments in my footballing life,” Savage said. “I had to have a little go at them at halftime in a constructive way, they weren’t good enough, and they represent me, my football club.

“The hardest thing to take tonight is that we're giving goals away, every goal we seem to concede comes from us in possession and that needs to stop. It’s individual errors that have cost us; we were the better side in the second half.”
