It's five years since Apple debuted its first Macs featuring its own M series chips.

They were way ahead of the game in terms of performance and energy efficiency.
The latest M chip - the M5 - remains ahead of the game. The only Mac to have been graced by the new chip is the 14in MacBook Pro. The rest of the Mac lineup is expected to join the game over the next 12 months.
Last week we went hands-on with another of only three Apple devices with the M5 - the iPad Pro - and here we do the same with the MacBook Pro.
And guess what? It's the best Mac they've ever made.
