NFL star is a potential new investor

FORMER American Football star Malcolm Smith has emerged as a potential investor in League Two club Cheltenham Town, writes Jon Palmer.
The 35-year-old ex-linebacker is best known for being named Most Valuable Player in Super Bowl XLVIII after helping the Seattle Seahawks defeat the Denver Broncos 43-8 in 2013.
He went on to represent the Oakland Raiders, San Francisco 49ers, Jacksonville Jaguars, Dallas Cowboys and the Cleveland Browns before retiring in 2021.
Gloucestershire Live, the sister website of the Daily Press, understands Smith has been shown around the Robins' facilities in recent weeks and is one of several interested parties.
