Loanee stars in Swindon’s Vertu victory

SWINDON Town supporters have taken to social media to offer their verdict on Bristol City loanee Jamie Knight-Lebel after the defender starred as Ian Holloway's side booked their place in the Vertu Trophy round of 16 with a win over holders Peterborough United

Knight-Lebel was one of three players to depart Ashton Gate on transfer deadline day, making the temporary switch to the County Ground on loan alongside fellow Robins prospect Adam Murphy. The 20-year-old had previous experience in League Two, having spent last season on loan in the fourth tier with Crewe Alexandra.

So far, the Canadian international has started nine league games and scored once, to help Holloway’s side sit second in the table after 18 matches. While the main aim for the Robins this term is to win promotion and climb into League One, they're also enjoying a solid campaign in the Vertu Trophy.
