Gromit auction could set new records for children's hospital

ORGANISERS of Bristol's Gromit Unleashed 3 trail are hoping for a bumper fundraising night when more than 50 “once in a lifetime” sculptures go under the hammer in just over a week's time.

Auctions held at the end of the two previous trails have brought in more then £3.6 million for the Grand Appeal.
Currently, the highest ever paid for a sculpture was Gromit Lightyear ~ designed by Toy Story creators Pixar - which sold for £65,000 in 2013. But collectors could be willing to pay even more for some of this year’s designs, not least Yellow Submarine by Paul McCartney.
