Go-ahead for 58 homes on field

PLANS for 58 homes on a former playing field at Pittville School in Cheltenham have been given the go-ahead.

Newland Homes’ proposals for the roughly five acre-site off Albert Road were approved by Cheltenham Borough Council's planning committee.
‘The scheme sparked 30 objections from residents as well as the opposition of Prestbury Parish Council.
‘The parish council is concerned about a lack of onsite community and recreational facilities and road safety concerns.
‘They said the access via Broad Acre Road, a narrow residential street, raises multiple safety and capacity concerns.
