Crushed hope inspires latest Turnip winner
Western Daily Press
|December 04, 2025
THE winner of this year’s fake art award the Turnip Prize has been named - a crushed beer can called “Bitter & Twisted’.
The annual contest hosted by the New Inn in Wedmore is a spoof of the Turner Prize, a top gong awarded by the Tate family of galleries.
The Turnip Prize is awarded to the person who has created something that they perceive to be rubbish art - using the least amount of effort possible.
