Cheese-rolling tradition ramps up at care home

A CARE home has launched its own take on Gloucester's famous cheese-rolling contest - using Babybels.

Hilarious videos show elderly residents and carers using a purpose-built ramp to compete against each other for the fastest miniature round cheese roll.

Aura Care Living's Stratton Court, in Cirencester, came up with their new take on the Coopers Hill event that could involve all generations.

And instead of hurtling themselves down the hill chasing giant wheels of cheese, like competitors do in the world-famous event the residents and their families took a much calmer approach.
