CHELSEA maintained their perfect start to the Women’s Super League season as they coasted to a 4-0 win over struggling West Ham, who had Ines Belloumou sent off in the first half, writes Jim van Wijk.
‘The Blues got off to a flyer with goals from inform Aggie BeeverJones, Johanna Rytting Kaneryd and Erin Cuthbert inside the opening 15 minutes. Wieke Kaptein slotted in a fourth with 20 minutes left to leave Chelsea, below, two points clear at the top, while the Irons are bottom.
Manchester United had earlier produced another solid display with a 2-0 win at Liverpool to move up to second place. Hinata Miyazawa fired the visitors into a fourth-minute lead, with Ella Toone then striking in stoppagetime at the end of the first half.
