33 series on, comedy show far from last leg

Josh Widdicombe, Adam Hills and Alex Brooker are back for The Last Leg. By Rachael Popow

The last series of the topical comedy show The Last Leg ended in March, and some fans might have started to get a bit twitchy about when it would be back on our screens. (After all, you don't get to 33 series in 13 years by leaving long gaps between runs.)

So, the good news is that next week, Adam Hills, Josh Widdicombe and Alex Brooker make a triumphant return to our screens. That's all the more impressive when you consider The Last Leg was never intended to become a Friday-night staple.

It started life back in 2012 as part of Channel 4’s groundbreaking Paralympic coverage, when the original idea was that Adam Hills would host it alone and it would go out after midnight on More4.
