£18.6m loss in line with expectations, says CEO

BRISTOL

- DANIEL CARTER

City have announced a pretax loss of £18.6 million during the 2024/25 season - up from a £3.3m loss the year before. However, despite the £15.3m jump, Robins CEO Tom Rawcliffe insists the latest set of accounts falls in line with the club's expectations.

This season's reporting period covers the 12 months ending June 30, 2025, a spell during which the Robins made few high-profile player sales, reporting only just over £1m from player trading. The lower profit from the transfer market, especially given the fact that the sale of Alex Scott to Bournemouth was included in the previous year's accounts, is the driver behind the increased loss.

Tommy Conway's move to Middlesbrough is included in these figures, but outside of the deal to take the forward to the Riverside last summer, City have completed very few eye-catching deals.
