A VIOLENT thug "rained down" punches on his girlfriend after an argument over some tobacco.
Ryan Edwards, pictured, left his former partner in extreme pain and unable to work after the violent incident.
Edwards, of Eastpool Park in Pool, appeared at Truro Crown Court for sentencing on Friday, April 11, having pleaded guilty to one count of grievous bodily harm and one count of cannabis possession.
The incident occurred on March 8 when the two, who had been in a relationship for six months, had been out at the pub drinking and taking drugs.
They returned to his address where Edwards, 36, began "shouting" in his then-girlfriend's face and "backing her" into a sofa.
